The story behind Ristorante la Vela is as unique as the food we serve. A mixture of passion, determination and hard work, paved the way for our restaurant over a decade ago.

Ristorante La Vela as a concept was conceived by Michelle Muscat back in 2008. Accountant by profession, Muscat comes from a food-loving family with a long history in the catering business. La Vela started out as a hobby, however by time, it became a full-time job infused with much passion and dedication.

Through persistence and hard work, Michelle Muscat along with her team of talented chefs, created a place where wonder and amazement are merged into one, a place where you can enjoy a lovely meal and a great time.

This popular dining spot is not only known for its atmospheric ambience, but also for the wonderful dishes which are served to customers. Ristorante La Vela is known for hosting a number of celebrities including many popular singers, actors and football personalities from all over the world.

Meet Our Dedicated Chefs
Enrico

Originally from Scicli, Ragusa where he studied the art of cooking, Enrico has joined the restaurant when he was 21 years old. He has grown with the restaurant for the past nine years and with his unlimited passion and dedication Enrico has proven time after time his talent for cooking.

Enrico is our head chef and together with Vincenzo he is pleasantly surprising our customers with new specialities each week.

Vincenzo

Vincenzo is from Ispica, Sicily, and has been with La Vela for over five years now. His delicious dishes speak for his love and passion for food loud and clear. Coming from Ispica, where he went to catering school, Vincenzo has not only knowledge and skills but also great intuition.

The art of combining flavours and creating mouthwatering compositions has no secrets from him, which he has proven many times.

Nella zona del Prosecco Docg Conegliano Valdobbiadene, sulla sommità di un colle dove i vigneti contendono al bosco i ripidi pendii, è sita la casa colonica del Ristorante da Brun .

Da tre generazioni la famiglia Brun si dedica con passione alla cucina tradizionale dell’alta Marca Trevigiana.

Oggi ad accogliere i clienti vi sono i nipoti del capostipite  Lino;  Lino e la sorella Marisa, coadiuvati da genitori e consorti, ci allietano con i loro tipici piatti: le rinomate carni cotte alla brace, la sopressa nostrana, il muset (cotechino), le verdure di stagione colte nel proprio orto e poi ancora  i bolliti e gli arrosti al forno ….. e alla fine del pranzo un caldo caffè alpino – quasi un emblema della casa – fatto con tanta buona grappa .

L’ambiente, rurale e genuino, è subito accogliente; ampie sale interne possono servire banchetti per numerosi  invitati così che il Ristorante da Brun risulta luogo ideale per pranzi di nozze e feste oltre che per un convivio in famiglia o con gli amici o anche per una tranquilla cena romantica.

D’Inverno è piacevole sedersi ad un tavolo vicino al fuoco del camino, proprio come accadeva un tempo nelle case di campagna; nella bella stagione mangiare all’aperto, all’ombra della lunga pergola di viti, permette di degustare i buoni cibi immersi nel verde paesaggio circostante.

Da Brun ogni stagione è bella, ogni pranzo un piacere vero, ogni festa un successo: tutti momenti felici da ricordare .

Wir haben unser erstes Restaurant (Zi Teresa) 1986 in Preetz eröffnet und es 21 Jahre lang geführt. Danach eröffneten wir ein Eiscafé und Ende 2011 eröffneten wir das Restaurant „Claudio" in Preetz mit Eis und Kaffeespezialitäten und italienischer Küche mit ausgewählten Produkten. Unsere Gerichte werden immer frisch zubereitet und mit frischen Kräutern verfeinert. Wir bieten ebenfalls ein reichhaltiges Sortiment an Weinen an und beraten sie gerne bei der Auswahl. Engagieren Sie unsere Küche für ein raffiniertes Catering oder Buffet.

Carlo Papagni here, owner and chef of Carlo Independent Italian Restaurant in Haslemere, Surrey!

I am so excited to open my new restaurant in Haslemere and I look forward to serving you some of my family favourites and some classic Italian dishes soon.

I have over 20 years experience in managing and working in the catering industry both as an importer and exporter of fine foods from Italy and as a restaurateur in London. I felt it was time to take life a bit easier and start up something for me and my family. The experience I gained from working at United Colours of Benetton and launching Boscoreale, a restaurant which I have now sold, has given me the foundation to start something smaller and more intimate.

My passion is food, family and good company. I look forward to welcoming you to Carlo Independent Italian Restaurant soon and for us to laugh and love food together.
